For those of you who haven’t heard of these family-friendly dinner and shows, the Medieval Times Restaurants are an opportunity for guests to experience a real-life jousting tournament, based on those that took place in 11th century Spain, complete with live horses, falcons, knights, princesses and a four-course meal ,”fit for royalty.”

The Medieval Times Chicago show is two hours long, and is hosted in the Schaumburg castle, one of the chain’s most popular venues, with a colossal stone tower and expansive landscaping surrounding the property. With six different knights competing, live Pure Spanish Horses that have been born and raised to be part of the show, Live Falcons  and many other memorable characters as well as a multitude of different weapons this show is a definite must for Chicago visitors and residents alike.

Planning your Trip to Medieval Times Chicago 

The Medieval Times Chicago show costs $59.95 for adults and $35.95 for children (children under 3 are free) and that includes the show as well as dinner. There are also several upgraded “royalty” options that offer everything from preferred seating and take-home DVDs, to cheering banners for the show and group photos. You have to buy tickets in advance to the show, and it usually sells out quickly so we recommend booking seats at Medieval Times Chicago as soon as you plan your trip.
