Rock yourself out at the ZZ Top with Gov’t Mule concert at the Rosemont Theatre September 17, and stay at the nearby and affordable Elk Grove Chicago Hotel!
You and thousands of your friends will love the still relevant rocker boys of ZZ Top with Gov’t Mule! The Top boys, Texans Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill and Frank Beard (he’s the one without the beard) have been on the road since 1969. The Gov’t Mules are one of the most favorite arena bands to ever play.
ZZ Top hit the charts running with their first album in 1971. Critics praised them for their signature blues-style playing and humorous lyrics filled with double entendre. Their 1983 album “Eliminator,” sold over ten million records. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004, with Mick Jagger giving the introduction speech.
Gov’t Mule started out as an Allman Brothers side project. Their 2006 album “High and Mighty,” was their most successful record, rising to number three on the charts. The band has always been a favorite of professional musicians.
