Did you know that “lego” is an actual Danish word meaning “play well?” “Lego” in Latin means “I assemble.” The original LEGO toys were handmade in 1932, carved of wood. The first famous LEGO toy was The Lego Duck! In 1947, plastic LEGO toys began to be molded, and in 1949, Lego pieces became known as bricks! And the rest is history!
